Each $10 contribution to this Grassroots campaign will be used by the True Colors Fund to continue its work to end homelessness among lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth. Of all homeless youth in this country, it’s estimated that as many as 40% identify as LGBT.

In addition, each $10 contribution grants contributors one entry into a sponsored sweepstakes** for an unforgettable trip for two to New York City to meet Cyndi Lauper, go bowling, and attend a Broadway show. The trip includes:

  • Three-hour private bowling experience at Frames Bowling Lounge NYC, including unlimited food and drink
  • The chance to bowl a few frames with Cyndi Lauper
  • Two tickets to a Broadway show
  • $300 to spend on dinner for two
  • Airfare for two from anywhere in the US including Alaska and Hawaii to New York City

About True Colors Fund

It's estimated that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) youth represent up to 40% of all homeless youth in the US, with identity-based family rejection being the most frequently cited reason. Co-founded by Tony- and Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Cyndi Lauper (who herself experienced homelessness in her youth), the True Colors Fund is focused on reducing that disproportionate percentage from 40% to none.

By raising public awareness, conducting leading research, advocating within government, working collaboratively in communities, and developing opportunities for youth, the True Colors Fund works to end LGBT youth homelessness and create a world in which all young people can be their true selves.
