A friendly neighborhood pub isn't just the perfect place to practice close-up magic on unsuspecting patrons; it's also a great spot to meet friends and share Burton Gilliam gossip. Start your tongue wagging with today's Groupon: for $10, you get $20 worth of hearty fare and drinks at Bruckner Bar & Grill in the Bronx.
Bruckner Bar & Grill's menus range freely through a wide terrain of diversely delicious fare. Launch your dinner rocket with an opener of fried calamari (small $10.75, large $15.25), followed by an exquisitely prepared sautéed mahi-mahi ($17.50). For twists on more traditional pub grub, opt for a sumptuous lamb burger ($12.50), or add sweet-potato fries and declare it deluxe ($13.95). An early brunch of perfectly poached eggs benedict with black-forest ham ($10.95) will help you recover from last night's off-the-hook geological survey. Although brunch boasts $3 mimosas and Bloody Marys, you can keep creaky conversations lubricated throughout the day with an extensive wine and beer menu, six beers on tap ($5–$6 per glass), and a bevy of creatively mixed drinks, such as the French Alexander with vodka, raspberry liqueur, and pineapple juice ($10).
Though its charmingly cozy interior, large, people-watchable windows, and antique stove seem to have emerged from a sepia photograph of a bygone New York, Bruckner Bar & Grill is hardly a prototypical corner pub. The exposed-brick dining room doubles as a local art gallery, and a small performance area foregrounds its steady line-up of live music with a dance floor and a disco ball that keeps the party going by firing lasers at anyone who's not dancing hard enough.

About dupe - Bruckner Bar & Grill (Mott Haven)
When Hurricane Sandy swept through the Bronx neighborhood where Mott Haven Bar and Grill resides, it was strong enough to shut the three-story brick eatery down. But not for long. The determined staff of the laid-back spot worked diligently until they could welcome their regulars back into the homey confines, offering up the same menu for those who'd been craving Bruckner's signature burgers, buffalo wings, and pasta dishes. Now, diners settle into the newly renovated dining room or belly up to the bar to sip on the specialty cocktails and local draft beers they had been missing. The bar further draws the locals in with regular events such as salsa-dancing shindigs, GLBT nights, and football viewing parties, in which attendees must bring their own football to stare at.
