Extended Stay America Suites Detroit Ann Arbor Briarwood Mal

No working elevator for at least 6 weeks Here's the main thing, in the month I spent there, the elevator did not work and there were no signs that anyone was trying to fix it. I was on the third floor, and had to walk up and down, with my luggage, my groceries, everything. A few days into my stay, I was waiting for someone in the entry area (there isn't a real lobby). An elderly lady came to the front desk, and rang the bell. ESAs are chronically understaffed, but the guys working this shift were actually outside in front of the hotel, smoking weed and listening to music. When someone came in finally, she asked when the elevator would be fixed, because her legs were exhausted from walking up and down the stairs. The guy told her, "I just do the front desk, i don't have anything to do with that." Sadly, I saw her about three weeks later on a gurney, looking barely alive, being put in the back of an ambulance. Not making any accusations, but when there's no elevator service for at least six weeks, that has to be some kind of violation. Is this an ADA-free zone? The place is cheap, which is why I gave it two stars instead of one. But you get what you pay for. Bad internet, open, stinking garbage cans in the stairwell (which you have to use since no elevator), never enough coffee for everyone in the morning...

Had a great stay at this location I stayed at this particular extended stay from October of 2023 to March of 2024. Amazing hotel If I could, I would give this place 10 stars my experience with the hotel staff was amazing. They were very polite and helped me with anything that I needed, the general manager Tonya was very warm and welcoming. She made me and my family feel like family, she made me feel very welcomed and I appreciate that very much, the rooms were beautiful the beds were very comfortable, my room was extremely clean, the breakfast was delicious. Overall I would give this place a 10 out of 10 definitely going to be returning!

Excellent relaxing experience I can say nothing but good things about Extended Stay America Ann Arbor MI. I suffer for allergies, and I was happy and surprise that they have rooms without carpet. I have been here for a couple of months, and I will say all the employs are very nice and they keep the hotel clean. Lundry room has both methos of payment either cash or credit card. I will definitely recommend it and I will back again.

Home Sweet Home Kita and the management staff are good people. I’ve enjoyed their hospitality since the end of June. (5 months). The room is well appointed. The full kitchen and accommodations, make it a great home away from home.
