Sonesta ES Suites Raleigh Cary

Choose this hotel!!!! Stayed with my sister for a show at the amphitheater. This was the closest hotel and the best place we could have stumbled upon! Adrian greeted us with a big smile and helped check us in and out. The staff is extremely friendly and the room was perfect! Beautiful courtyards with a fire pit and pool. This hotel has the "everyone is family" kind of vibe. I highly recommend this hotel and will be back! If the staff sees this review, thank you again for taking care of us!!!

Wonderful staff. A home away from home in a great location. I love this for an extended stay. This was a RI that was renovated in 2020 and then converted to a Sonesta ES. It is physically unchanged from the RI but what stands apart is the friendly, caring and tuned in staff. Not only did they get a complicated back to back reservation right the first time, they got to know me and when I asked for things, I didn't even need to remind them my name. They had paperwork and invoice ready for me, before I asked. The Sonesta ES makes you feel at home away from home. The rooms are comfortable and functional. Parking is easy and the location is great as long as you have a car. Cary is a runners DREAM. There are beautiful Greenways and well paved sidewalks. WFM and Harris Teeter are down the street. Grab take-out from Danny's BBQ. Hop on the highway in 2 minutes. The only flaw is that the WIFI cuts out often. It is fast and it does reconnect, but if you are on a VPN you will find it cumbersome. I shared this with the property and I believe they will work on it. I am cheering them on to five stars, once this is addressed and I look forward to coming back and seeing the improvement.

Noisy upstairs guests While the room was nice and the front desk clerks were mostly friendly, I had terrible noise issues with two different people above me, a different one each night. Stomping, dragging heavy items across their floor and dropping them. The second night, the person above me created a lot of noise for over six hours after arriving. I complained to a front desk clerk and then was awakened before 7am with what I believed was retaliatory stomping. To be fair, the first morning the manager offered to move me to a room on the third floor so I would not be bothered by noise from above. However, I declined because I am disabled and traveling with two small dogs whom I take out several times a day due to their small bladders. Being on the third floor would have been impractical and inconvenient. I now regret turning down her offer. But she did wave the $80 (yes, $80) pet fee for my two Emotional Support dogs.

Sonesta impressed us big time We had never heard of Sonesta until we saw an excellent price offered on-line. From the the time we arrived until the minute we left, two days later, we were very impressed. The room was modern and clean, with tons of outlets for charging, the service (beginning with Ashley at the front desk) was outstanding and I even enjoyed seeing many dogs in this pet friendly facility. We travel the world and found this to be one of the best experiences we have had with a hotel. Spread the word. Sonesta does an outstanding job.

Will stay again Very comfortable and well placed hotel. Breakfast was great. Desk staff was awesome, particularly Natalie! Thanks for taking good care of me! This was my third stay here and I'm gonna stick to it. The kitchen was well thought out and was very clean
