Not staying again Pros of this hotel: clean, comfortable bed, nice pool, near shopping, restaurants and main roads. Cons: room was too small, no microwave in rooms, although clean it is worn out and needs updating, animals are allowed, shower heads very low, furniture worn and broken.

Shabby room not worth the money Very shabby room with an exceptionally loud A/C. Broken tile in the bathroom, chair coming apart at the seams, stained lampshade, stained shower curtain. I was very disappointed in this room given the cost. Terrible value. Would never stay here again!

Not great, not horrible Stayed here as part of a bus tour to the Salem area. The rooms were acceptable and clean. The linens, beds, and pillows were fine. The breakfast situation seemed a little weird to me. Most guests seem to need to pay for breakfast items a la cart. I saw very few people having breakfast. Our group had a buffet breakfast. Including eggs, sausage, bread, and yogurt. There needed to be some thought put into the traffic flow in the serving area, as the line forced you into a little corner, and then you had to squeeze back out to get to your table. The front desk person recommended that we dine at the 99 restaurant in the nearby shopping center. The shopping center itself had a Target, Dollar store and other stores... which were all dirty and unkempt. I would consider staying here again if necessary, but wouldn't let my expectations get too high.

Dirty Rooms Guh-ross! Was not familIar with the area and stayed there based on recommendations of local college for Parent’s Weekend. Should have known when we were checking in and there is a live video of the check-in desk like you are in a bank. Hate to complain about housecleaning….but room smelled like stinky shoes, two beer bottle caps on carpet, pair of men’s socks in the armoire. Definitely did get the feeling it was well cleaned. Also there were smokers standing outside every door so don’t be surprised if your room also stinks. We arrived late and were busy all the next day. When we checked out and complained about the filth, we were told we should have complained the first night, otherwise they could only take $50 off per night. At the completely ludicrous rate of $600 PER NIGHT we did not leave satisfied customers. Run fast fun far before you stay here.

A pleasant surprise Based on the reviews, I was nervous when my daughter booked this hotel for 8/19 and 8/20 (king room). But I must say, the hotel grounds are lovely and the common areas were very clean and tidy. Our room was clean, spacious, with a comfortable bed and a great bathroom. We both had a wonderful sleep, and refreshing showers. We had a counter area complete with fridge, microwave, and single coffee pot with supplies. It’s on par with the Hampton Inns I usually book. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby area, with all kinds of drinks, made to order breakfast foods for sale, and friendly competent staff. Both mornings they were cheerful and efficient. We didn’t interact with the front desk much, but they were pleasant. Doggie water bowls in lobby. Parking lot was well-lit and clean. I’d recommend, and will stay here again!
