Turnaround trip The room was comfortable and clean, just a over night stay to visit some family and pay my respects to a loved one. Check in was very easy and quick, the free breakfast was ok, they were running short on some items by 8am on a Saturday. The one draw back was you could her the people in the room above walking. If making a turnaround trip I would stay here again.

Not what I expected Pros - clean hotel, friendly staff, convenient location Cons - elevator broken for my entire 4 day stay and room was on the third floor, wasn't comfortable taking the stairs late at night, gym was out of order, and lock on hotel door did not latch which made me uncomfortable and caused me to have broken sleep. Was told my rates would be adjusted due to all of the above but that was not the case. It was only discounted for the first two nights. I mentioned to front desk and they shared that they will advise management and adjust my bill. Well, that never happened. Would have left but all nearby hotels were not available for my remaining stay due to the many graduations in the area. Will not frequent again.

Trip to doctor Clean clean clean. Beds comfy. Full breakfast great. Friendly staff. My only issue was the big floodlights shining straight into our 4th floor room window. Some folks like to keep the curtains open to look out. I am one of them. If you don't you're fine with a front facing room. This is a good place to stay!

Nice place to stay. I stayed at this HIX for two nights on business and it was really nice. I was greeted with a nice, helpful person at the front desk. My reservation was accurate and I found my room to be clean and comfortable. I was able to rest and the breakfast was good. I did some work in the lobby area the next day and it was a very quiet atmosphere to do work. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and one within walking distance. The Bass Pro shop is around the corner. There is a bit of road construction but it wasn’t real bad. I do recommend this HIX.

Not real happy We like Holiday Inn, and this location is where we needed, so we booked a nonrefundable suite for a week. We wanted a place with a gym; it’s out of order due to flooding. The A/C is effective, but noisy enough to require ear plugs. The shower head either has a rim with no center, or a center blasting with no rim. Since it’s way high and we’re not real tall, this matters. The WiFi is very spotty in our room; I’ve turned it off. The precise timing required to get the key lock to work is weird (insert, remove, wait for the red light to go out, then about 1/10th second more, then it works — anything else and it’s try again). Frankly, it should just be insert, open. And there’s a giant security/publicity light that’s pointed at our room. It’s really bright, so there’s no way we can leave the curtains open to just look out. I rarely leave bad reviews; I’m pretty easy to please. And the bed is comfortable, the room is clean, and the breakfast is fine. But all the others kind of combine to be a rather regular irritant. If I hadn’t booked it nonrefundable, frankly, we’d probably just check out and find somewhere close with a working gym. I understand it’s not their fault that it flooded, but we really wanted it, darn it.
