Great day at the beach Wonderful ocean-side stay. Clean and well-appointed rooms complete with microwave, coffee, and mini-fridge. Plenty of extra towels and easy beach access. The staff was outstanding and made the check-in process smooth and easy. Reasonably priced stay and much cheaper than surrounding accommodations. Breakfast in the lobby provided a wonderful added pleasure to watching the sunrise. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip down.

Eww Outdated and gross. Not kept up at all, walls have damage, gap under door to room, muggy all the time, cramped space, rooms seems to be weathered by the environment and not maintained, and didn’t have a clean feel to it. It was a place to shower and sleep, but not very relaxing.

A place to lay your head on IOP. This an old school multilevel motel type hotel. Doors to rooms open to outdoor walkway and window of partial ocean view looks directly at building next to it so if you really try, you can see the ocean. You won’t want to have your shade open, however, because there are always people walking by. Rooms and bathrooms are small but workable, beds were comfortable and the A/C is a wall unit. They use towels to soak up some of the water outside so it doesn’t pool in the walkway too bad. They allow pets so we had a big dog barking all night next to us. Parking in that area is not good but they have limited parking underneath and an overflow Lot. Staff is friendly and the location is great with direct access to the beach and you usually can catch a concert at the windjammer. If you want to stay on IOP and can’t/don’t want to stay in Wild Dunes or off-island, this is one of 2 places to choose from. Having stayed at both, I would choose off-island.

Great place to stay Comfortable bed, plenty of towels, right on the beach, clean room and friendly, helpful staff. Live music next door, restaurants walking distance and good breakfast. Pool was small but never crowded. Always hot coffee. Had to pay to park but easy to find a spot. Will definitely visit again, but bring your own umbrella and chairs. I don’t recommend the IOP beach chair company!

Not safe and extremely loud Balconies not private Loud concert bar Nextdoor Pool nasty No freezer only fridge Public walking through by rooms all night long Had to keep blinds shut because of all the people walking by so paying for the view was a waste Maybe the top floor would be better but honestly wouldn’t stay there or recommend it
