Walking Distance to CHLA I'm a solid 4-hour drive from LA. Due to my daughter's health issues, I frequently travel to the city to take her to CHLA to see a specialist. I love this hotel. It's been my go-to for the past 3 years since she was first diagnosed. They were always flexible with us on arrival time. They even let me leave my car, so my baby girl & I could walk across the street to her hospital. The location was perfect for us, & the staff was very kind each time we visited. I went to book today for our arrival next week, & was shocked to find the location had permanently closed. I'm so incredibly sad we lost this hotel. Sure, it's not a 4-star resort. However, it was perfect for our needs. If it ever reopens, my daughter & I will come back. I truly wish the owners & their staff the best. Thank you for your exceptional kindness to me & my little girl.

Oh no... what has happened Had a booking for this property in July 2022. I booked through Hotels.com and I received an email this morning to say that I had requested the owner to cancel my booking. As I had not done this I sent a reply back saying I had not requested a cancelation. Then I received this message back. Dear Sir/Madam, We regret to inform you that we have canceled your reservation due to current situation of Covid-19. This is further to inform you that we are closing our business permanently starting January 25, 2022. We apologies for the inconvenience. Thank you for choosing Hollywood Travelodge. Management Hollywood Travelodge This was my go to place while staying in LA for short stays.

Guaranteed No Sleep The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The walls are SUPER paper thin, you can hear everything from all sides and above you and constant sirens from the hospital across the street so don't expect to get much sleep at all. Check in and out was simple and easy. Plenty of parking. Wouldn't stay here again though.

Below-average stay Normally I would give this place a 3-star or even 4-star rating. When you book a motel like this, you generally need to temper your expectations and as long as you get the basics, that's all you can really ask for. However, my main annoyance with staying here was how razor thin the walls were. We could hear everything from the TV and alarm next door to foot steps upstairs. I just didn't get a sense of privacy staying here and felt that everyone could hear what I was doing in my room. The motel is overall pretty basic as well - one of the more bare rooms I've been to during my travels in the USA. Still, the staff is pretty friendly and location isn't too bad as a base camp for exploring LA. If the price is right, may still be worth a shot staying here.

OK, typical Motel, nothing exceptional, but reasonable for the price Good location on Vermont at Sunset - a few minutes walk from Metro station and various Bus Stops (including DASH to Griffiths Observatory). Stayed here for a total of 12 nights over two stays and used it as a base to explore LA and surrounding area. Since most of the good stuff in LA is in the North-west of the conurbation it proved to be a very convenient location. Reception was OK - tended to depend on who was on duty. Service was generally at the night counter. Rooms were fine - clean enough, fresh sheets and plenty of towels and toiletries. Everything worked: TV, fridge, microwave, coffee maker (fresh supplies of coffee each day), heater/AC and Safe. What you'd expect really in a place like LA. Judging by kerbside appearances the nearby alternatives seemed less impressive...
