Two Different Hotels I recently arrived on a Thursday for a four night stay. Parking and checkin were fast and efficient. As a Marriott platinum member I received a nice room upgrade and the option of a free breakfast in the lobby area. The first night was quiet and uneventful and I had access to the very nice panty area on the 12th floor. By Friday afternoon it felt like I was in an entirely different hotel. A tattoo artist convention was checking in as was large group of high school age baseball players. Oddly the panty closed for the weekend when the hotel appeared full. When I returned from dinner that night parking was close to impossible and the noise factor had increased ten fold with people running in the hallways banging on doors. Masking all but disappeared and people were smoking in almost every area of the hotel including the room adjacent to mine. By Sunday night much reverted to calm Marriott property I had expected. I should note that all of the staff we encountered were outstanding. The location of the hotel is ideal for Mesa area. It was just a short walk to the light rail into Phoenix some very good restaurants were in walking distance.

Not a great experience! We booked this hotel simply because we wanted to be somewhat close to the airport for our early flight. We book a room on the concierge level because the website said we would have access to a lounge with food and drinks. We thought this would be helpful with our morning flight. However, when we arrived we found out the lounge was only open from Monday through Friday. My husband approached the front desk about this, they apologized and lowered our rate. We appreciated this because the concierge level cost extra for the purpose of the lounge. The facilities had a nice appearance, but the mechanics of the place were not working well. Our room was FREEZING and cold air would not stop blowing even when we turned up the temperature. The water in the bathroom was either scalding halt or freezing cold.....there was no in-between so I had to take a freezing cold shower. The walls are paper thin and we could hear loud music and loud voices from next door until at least 1:30 am. Thankfully we had a sound machine and turned it up louder. We did ask the front desk to address the issue, but we don’t know if they did. The front desk offered us free breakfast coupons that started at 6 am but we had to leave by 5 am. No fan in the bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows.

Never again! We had booked two nights but needed up only staying one night. Our room smelled so bad like a men’s locker room. There was a terrible leak in the bathroom above the shower that caused huge bubbles of paint to fill with water when showering and there was no fan. There was strange slimy areas in bathroom which I could only assume were mold. My husband stepped on a bottle cap on the carpet next to the bed so the room had clearly not been cleaned properly. We were moved to another room because of the leak but it was only a tiny bit better. The front desk staff was nice enough although when we worst got there to check in I had to wait for them to finish their personal conversation before they addressed me. Not a place we would ever book again.

Surf Cup tournament With the COVID mayhem, our arrival was by far painless... I appreciate both Megan, front desk agent and most importantly, Scottie regarding the warm welcome. We look forward to staying at the Delta, Mesa during our next tourney. Cheers, G

Just average We were a party of four staying in two rooms. Neither room had a fan in the bathroom. Neither room was cleaned after noon. There were no papers despite being listed on the website. The hotel is not really central to anything. A car is a must. The menu is very limited. The beds are comfy though and the AC good.
