It did the job We travel with our dog sometimes and when we do, we look for Aloft hotels. They are really dog friendly and also tend to be pretty nice in terms of cleanliness and decor. Usually reviews are very high. We've stayed at Alofts in many cities, including NYC and Chicago. After reading reviews here, I actually cancelled an initial booking at this one in Miami. It didn't seem like this Aloft was what we were used to. I had prepaid for another night though (we left Miami for a few days and came back), so we stayed there because we were now familiar with Brickell and it was convenient to the airport. First, I found that there were two reservations under my name, and I know for a fact that I never booked anything with Priceline (and I was only charged for one room anyway). The woman at the desk said she was cancelling the extra reservation but I'll be keeping an eye on my credit card to make sure a charge doesn't pop up. There were signs all over about mask wearing but it wasn't at all enforced. Hotel is ok. Not as nice as other Alofts we've stayed. It's hard to put your finger on it but, yeah. Just ok. Clean enough. This was the only Aloft I've ever stayed in where the fridge was just sitting out naked, and not hidden in a nice compartment or something. It was weird, actually. We got a high room with a balcony, but the balcony didn't face anything but the tops of other buildings, and the balcony wasn't particularly clean. I felt like I was really on a concrete fire escape. Unless you can ensure a nice view, don't bother with the balcony. I didn't smell marijuana in the hallways as some others have mentioned, but there was definitely the smell of cigarette smoke that was covered up with air freshener and cleaners. We stayed on a Sunday night, so the hotel was pretty quiet. Seeing some of the other guests, though, I'd imagine that this place can be uncomfortably rowdy on a weekend. A younger crowd for sure, but I think that's typical of Alofts. But this struck me as a younger party crowd of a certain ilk. Not my thing. The surrounding area isn't the greatest. Yes, it's in Brickell, but not near the nicer waterfront area. It's amazing the difference a few blocks can make. It didn't seem dangerous but not really a place I'd want to be wandering around at night in. Besides, there's not much in the immediate vicinity. Valet parking was reasonable but slow (only one guy was working when we were there and he went as fast as he could). All in all, I probably wouldn't stay here again. The place was clean and we lucked up to get somewhere quiet. We had stayed at the Hyatt Centric in Brickell and found that to be much nicer, better location, with a mix of different types of people. This Aloft would do in a pinch - it's not bad. But if I have a choice, I'd choose differently.

Disgusting - wear shoes at all times The cleanliness was laughable. Actually disgusting. It was clear they hadn’t swept the floor in multiple stays. The corners of the room were full of crap and most importantly there were long hairs and fake eyelashes all over the floor by the bed. And a clump of hair in the shower that did not belong to me. I will never stay here again. If a Marriott representative is reading this I would love to speak and discuss a credit of sorts to my account and also I think you should have a discussion with this place because I can’t imagine a place with such low cleanliness standards (especially coming out of a pandemic?) would help your reputation.

Less hotel and more expensive airbnb Disappointing. Cleaning was only every 3 days due to Covid - which was clearly an excuse considering many staff didn’t even wear face masks. Why stay at a hotel when you can’t get your bed made and room cleaned daily? Might as well stay at an airbnb. When I requested fresh towels, sometimes they appeared sometimes they never did. Any towels we got were almost always threadbare and scratchy like sandpaper. My hallway (floor 9) consistently smelled like marijuana. The morning valet, Pierre, was abrasive and rude. I complained to the front desk and the agent simply laughed and said “that’s how he is in the mornings”. I came back a few minutes later after he was rude again to clarify that it wasn’t the mornings that were the cause but rather him. The front desk agent’s smiled faded and she didn’t have anything to say. It’s well located and the best price for brickell, which is why they get away with these issues.

Could not wait to leave The hotel is in an ideal location close to many things however it smelled musty, the rooms are average, cleaning done every 3 days (this must be the new thing as it happened at another location as well). I would not recommend it. Advertising stated breakfast and that was not accurate. Parking said $15 a night however its $25 as valet is the only option to park. Things should be advertised clearly and not try to false advertise and make it seem like its a new arrangement. Would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Hotel Valet Parking Me & My boyfriend resided at Aloft brickwell june12-15 2021. We used vallet parking that ONLY the vallet drivers have access to the garage. On june 13th our rental car had scratches & a damaged grill. We told the front desk agents & they told us they will give us footage to see if the vallet guys were responsible. Being nice we waited & didnt file a police report. Biggest mistake. They stalled the footage never showed us but the showed the police when we finally did call. Their is a tunnel connected to the vallet garage that doesnt have cameras. But their is cameras as soon as cars come out the tunnel. I need to see that footage ASAP. Were not responsible for these damages to this rental car & every-time we called the manager was “busy” but the hotel front desk guy didnt charge us for vallet after the whole trip. Suspicious right. Very unprofessional. Oh & they charged my card after i had already paid in cash for my stay. Still waiting on my refund! I demand to see to see the other footage from the surrounding area before the tunnel.
