Rejecting Reserved Guest to Price Gouge During NYC Marathon! We book months ahead. We were running in the New York Marathon in Nov 2022. We arrived at hotel and the staff told us they had our reservation, but ‘would not be able to accommodate us.’ They told us it was the third party app’s fault and we could not get our room at the price we booked for. The hotel gave no options accept to wait to 3pm and book for 2 1/2 times more than what we reserved the room for months prior. We stayed in a shared bathroom hotel just so we could pick up our running packets and run on marathon day. The hotel used the marathon to gouge prices and bump pre-booked people because they wanted more money. We were on a list of day-of people to reject. It was a horrible! Just know the type of hotel they are. NYC Better Business Bureau or city officials should address the treatment of this hotel and business practices.

Good Location, but Old and Dirty Hotel The only pluses to this hotel are: 1. Great location 2. Right beside Manhattan Diner (great food) and a Duane Reade 3. For NYC, cheap rates But the hotel is dirty, and the furnishings so so old (looks like 1970s). (I got sick from the dirt and dust). No breakfast. ALL the housekeeping staff pretended not to know a word of English (unbelievable), front desk staff unfriendly and unhelpful. We booked the suite, supposedly the biggest room, based on the photos and description. Very deceiving. The regular room actually looks bigger; this suite’s separate living room is nothing but a tiny space with a very dirty couch squished in: we had booked it for 3 people, but impossible for the 3rd person to use the couch because it was so dirty: just good to put your luggage on top. For NYC: spend a few dollars more and stay in a cleaner and friendlier hotel with decent facilities. Avoid this hotel.

HOTEL IS CLOSED BE AWARE & WATCH OUT! The hotel is closed... We booked it in November for beg of February. 1 day before arrival we even got a message that hotel is awaiting us. When we arrived it turned out it is closed and not taking any guests...Nobody informed us about closing and we arrived and had nowhere to sleep.

THIS HOTEL IS CLOSED I'm giving 3 stars because I can't imagine it was the hotel's fault that Agoda didn't actually inform us of the hotel's closure but we arrived on 11th January to a receptionist telling us the hotel had been closed since mid-December and someone should have reached out to us. If you've booked here, make sure you check when they're reopening!
