Hampton Inn & Suites Toledo-Perrysburg

Convenient location with fair pricing The hotel is situated nearby other hotels with some places to eat nearby. It is right by the highway but the room was still quiet for a good night of sleep. The hotel and room itself was clean and had everything we would need for a comfortable stay. Pricing was reasonable for being a Hampton Inn.

Clean room, nickeled and dimed amenities. The room was clean and very much like most of the Hamptons that I have stayed at, which has been quite a few. The heater/ac unit was kind of loud, which was a bummer. Looked like maybe there was some remodeling under way in the hallway, as a lot of the wall paper was torn off, no big deal. I'm a bit of a hotel snob though, and it passed muster for me. However, there was no hair conditioner in the bathroom. I don't mean it was empty, I mean, NOT provided. I had to go down to the front desk and request conditioner. I have never had to do that. Ever! Super inconvenient if you're already in the shower. The lady at the front desk was delightful though. Also, even though this hotel is not in the city, rather right off the highway on an access road with several other hotels, they charge for parking. The fee is nominal, their website says $5.12, but it's very strange. I have never paid for hotel parking outside of a cities downtown area. I did check, for comparison, none of the other hotels on that road charge for parking. I would probably stay here again, because the location is convenient, but I will be sure to grab conditioner on my way up the first time.

A typical Hampton Inn stay A typical Hampton Inn stay. Reasonable cost, friendly staff, a nice breakfast and a clean room with comfortable beds. The location was good for our trip and the surrounding area had multiple options for dinner. A separate review will be provided for Cocina de Carlos.

I don't recommend This message is to the owners of this so called Hotel. You give Hampton Inn a bad name! Why, this place is run down, the hallway wallpaper was ripped off on several floors. The pool did not work. I don't recommend this location, the Hotel room is over priced is over rated. Corporate office, please don't reply to this comment, spend your time visiting this horrible Hotel, upgrade ASAP!

Avoid Hampton / Hilton hotels I would not recommend staying here, I booked a room for the weekend of the eclipse Sunday April 7th, I was planning on traveling to this location with several members of my family but I got sick that weekend and was unable to go. I was hoping I would feel better by Monday but this did not happen so I had my brother cancel the reservation. My original reservation was for $187.00 So I was very surprised to see they charged my credit card for $387.00 I contacted the hotel immediately and the Woman I spoke with did seem to be trying to sort it out. Apparently since they were price gouging that weekend for the eclipse event, and even though I booked the room a month prior for an more reasonable price they thought it would be ok to charge me and extra $200 dollars for a room I never used and booked for less than half of that price. I tried to contact the hotel manager when after a few day it did not seem like I was getting anywhere with getting a refund but they never called me back. I am now speaking with my credit card company to file a chargeback, what a hassle. So if you are traveling to the Toledo Perrysburg area I would not stay at a Hampton / Hilton hotel. I will definitely not use them in the future.
