Disgusting Gross hotel. Room was dirty, their was NO ice anywhere. No shampoo no blow dryer. Free breakfast was a JOKE. packaged muffins behind the counter. Waited 15 minutes for someone to come to front desk. People staying there were half dressed and scary looking. The brightest part of the stay were meeting refugees from Columbia. They were clean friendly and polite. We conversed using google translate and they were amazing in terms of bravery and distance travelled. Would recommend staying somewhere else.

Terrible GROSS!! Most disgusting place I have ever stayed at! Floors were so sticky had to have shoes on at all times! Moved the dresser to find that they had not moved it in probably a year! Burn marks on bathroom counter, no hangers for closet, no kitchen stuff provided unless you asked and then they gave me plastic cups for hot tea! Silly string on the walls, dirty windows with no screens, no locks for door, WiFi sucked, no coffee or food most days, no cream, no oatmeal as advertised!! The pictures are fake online! Do not stay!!! Disgusting!!

**BEWARE** Go somewhere else ***BEWARE*** Please read all reviews regarding this particular Extended Stay in Skokie. Although, it is conveniently located off the expressway and shopping malls.....is my only plus about this place. My last stay here was not safe nor secured. There were a few times where I had someone **knock** on my door and used a master keycard to enter my room while present. I have made several complaints to which staff had no sense of urgency to act. The staff's response was just a mere, "oh, maybe it was just the wrong room." Who would knock first, if it was the wrong room plus they did not knock and say, "Hi, this is staff." In short, Extended Stay America in Skokie has staff or someone they know entering the guests rooms whether present or gone for the day. Do not leave anything important behind or of value if staying there long term. This hotel is NOT to be trusted. The staff should all be under investigation and fired. I will also make it my business to blast this on all platforms of social media for traction.

No Extension Please! Budget and timing landed me at the Extended Stsy Skokie. LaLa weekend in Chicago eliminated my usual choices. This property which advertises rooms under $100.00 clipped me for $234.00 for the night. Walking up to the lobby at 12:30 a.m., after a long day moving a family member, I navigated past a collection of individuals who made me think I was in the bar scene in Star Wars. Charming! _ I was greeted at the front desk by a unique woman sporting a sequined hair pin reading “SEXY.” She struggled with the electronic merchant processing machines until she could no longer keep an F-bomb from escaping her lips. A call to her supervisor and some machine roulette eventually allowed her to capture my $234.00 payment in advance for my room. A deluxe suite she promised. Hmmm! Thanks Sexy! Or maybe not. Opening the door to my room the delightful scent of stale cigarette smoke filled my nostrils. Entering the bathroom I was confronted with a counter bearing permanent brown stains of unknown origin, cracked electrical outlet cover plates, a mirror that looked like Jaws but off the corner of it, and shower curtain rod anchors that looked like they were hanging on for dear life. Although wearing the dirty clothes I had been working in all day, I elected to sleep in them lest the bedding be inhabited by other ‘guests’ namely of the insect variety or god knows what else. _ Slept for six hours, showered, changed and fled. My final images of the stay, a half empty wine bottle and a dried gob of spit on the asphalt near my car._ The only thing worse than my one night stay would have been an ‘extended stay.’ If you like adventure or survival shows consider this property for your next stay.

Had to check out early My daughter had a 3-night reservation, but had to check out after 1 night because this was during the COVID-19 pandemic, and this hotel was not observing mask-wearing, including the hotel staff. She did not feel safe in the hotel.
