A good place to stay when visiting Colonial Williamsurg The Embassy Suites is located within a few miles of the historic city of Colonial Williamsburg. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. There is plenty of parking around the hotel. As with most Embassy Suites hotels, it offers all-suite accommodations with separate living rooms and bedrooms, making it a great option for families or groups of travelers or groups that wants space to spread out when in the room. There is a central atrium that is open to the roof presenting a large open space as you enter and allowing guests to see the whole hotel when they step out of their room. This hotel differed from other Embassy suites in a few ways. It sports only 5 floors where many others are much taller. The elevators do not have any windows to see the atrium and our suite had the bathroom near the front door instead of between the bedroom and living room. Happy hour and cooked-to-order breakfast are served on the main floor at the appropriate times. Rooms are accessed by stairs or one of the elevators bordering the atrium. The staff was friendly. The room and common areas were clean. The rooms was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. The hotel has a fitness center. Overall, this Embassy Suites is a good choice for travelers visiting the area.

No hot water and no transparency by hotel staff We were scheduled to arrive on Thursday. On Wednesday, we received a message to check-in for Thursday. We did this and around noon on Thursday, we received notification that our room was ready. We did digital check-in and had a digital key. We arrived at the hotel around 3. About an hour later, we discovered we had no hot water. Found out that this had been going on since the previous Sunday. No mention of this anywhere until we contacted the front desk. They had already charged our credit card. We had to leave Friday morning with no shower and no breakfast (didn’t trust eating somewhere that hadn’t had hot water for days). Hotel could have been transparent and let us know before traveling for 3 hours that there no hot water.

Nikki !!!! We came down as a group in mid july for 3 weeks for navy training. During our stay we spent alot of time down at the atrium cafe. Some of us ate, some of us drank. Nikki was our bartender for the majority of our stay. We were not a small group either, 60 being a minimum. We had such a delightful experience with her. Her hospitality made us feel as we were at home. By the end of our stay, she had known almost each and every one of us by name and what we ordered... she was so sweet that we booked another stay in october. This time for 2 weeks with only 35-40 people. Again Nikki showed us the same love and hospitality. She is deff a hidden gem at embassy suites. The hotel lacks alot as in quality of the rooms, wifi reception, elevators, furniture being outdated... and other areas. But Nikki makes up for all of that ! We will be back in March to see her ! We hope by then she is a manager !!!! We love you nikki ! See you soon ! -your navy group!
