PERMANENTLY CLOSED December 14, 2018 update: Demolition is getting underway to raze the old Holiday Inn hotel, making way for the construction of the new Village at Worthington Square. Building owners were working to shut off all utilities and prep the building for demolition, which is expected to begin the week of December 17th. The west wings will be demolished first, with the remaining front restaurant and ballroom scheduled for mid-January demolition. Debris and the foundation will then be removed, with final site clean-up and grading completed by late winter to early spring 2019.

First time visting Ohio The staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel was clean and quiet. The pool was great as was the gym (super nice!) Also, the location was great right next to a Kroger super market and several really good restaurants, not to mention Historic Worthington which was lovely.

Wouldn’t return... I’ll start with the positive. The rooms seemed relatively clean. And, we slept pretty well, because it was very quiet. The staff in the cafe was very friendly, and for the most part the front desk staff was friendly (except the guy who complained that we were going through too many towels at the pool). I had 2 kids, each used one towel, so I’m not sure why he took his frustration out on me? Now, on the the negative. The facility is very run down and old. It truly needs to be gutted. There is a musty smell in the rooms, and the layout of the hotel isn’t ideal. It’s very spread out. Everything (except our room and the cafe) seemed dirty. Most things are in need of repair, including sidewalks, etc. In our room, the fridge and telephone were both broken. Instead of removing the fridge and replacing with a new one, we were given a new fridge, but the old one was also left in our room. Half of the outlets didn’t work. I would never stay again, especially for the price.

Staff 4, rooms 2 Stayed here because it was our team hotel for a sports event. The building feels very dated, almost like it could be an Ohio State dorm. Hot in the stairwells, our fridge froze everything, Keurig coffee machine didn’t work and the smoke detector literally fell off the ceiling when my daughter closed the door. That said, the staff is wonderfully warm and welcoming, especially the dining room staff. There is a true lounge and dining room on the premises, a rarity now. I heard a rumor this hotel is slated for demolition and rebuild; if so, I hope they keep the same staff!
