Super 8 by Wyndham Yorkville

Best Super 8 Experience Ever, Great Deal Overall I was very skeptical, but decided to stay here because Wyndham Hotels seem to share my values and some family things have come up so my budget is blown. I'm glad I stayed here. All of the staff were all amazing, helpful, cheerful, just all around great people. Everyone actually seemed to like their job, which is rare. It is an older hotel and you can tell (I worked in building management) but it has been newly redone and with a lot of care and thought. It didn't affect my enjoyment of my trip but I should mention my room had a very faint smell of cigarettes. Mostly it was just unexpected. I've stayed much more expensive hotels that were so bad I had to change rooms because my eyes and throat burned. I hate changing rooms so I gave it an hour and I didn't have a problem. I am very sensitive, I doubt most people would have noticed. I was always in a rush so I skipped breakfast, the waffles smelled like hotel waffles and the coffee was hotel coffee. I normally stay at another hotel in Yorkville, this may be my new home away from home.

Clean, safe, basics Motel is Clean, simple breakfast, offers a washer and dryer, room is comfortable. This is NOT a luxury hotel. But it is in a safe area with Aldi right next door. NO long term residents which is a win for me. Cooking in the room is not okay. Plan on using microwave meals if staying for more than a day and need to budget. They do offer small refrigerator. Friendly staff.

If you need a good mattress to sleep on! Good luck! Having stayed in this hotel several times, I was unfortunate this time to reside in room number 107. Everything about the room was really all right except for one thing. The mattress is worn out or cheap or both. There was also a problem with the woman and a man in the parking lot that required the police. I never felt comfortable with what was going on in the parking lot. But the real problem was the bed, another major problem in the room, is a musty smell that indicates that it may be time for the carpets to be ripped up and replaced. If you happen to stay at this hotel, I would definitely refuse room number 7. And did I mention, that they don't have an elevator to the second floor. I also killed a loan bug crawling across the floor. some of the other rooms are better. But it's pretty much hit and miss. Good luck! With all that being said, it's still better than the Montcler i n sandwich.

Good value but beware of check in time. Check in is at 3:00, but didn't get into our room for another 40 minutes. We were late attending a wedding in the area. Cleaning of the room was done very quickly. Room seemed clean, but we were leary if it was cleaned sufficiently.

Super 8 Great place to stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms ,comfortable beds, great television reception, close to shopping malls ,restaurants, theaters, antique shops, minute malls ! Good clean appearances inside and outside of SUPER 8 !
