About Atlantic Pier Amusements Inc

While a modern amusement park today, Steel Pier has a long history. Originally opened in 1898, the Pier hosted top entertainers such as Charlie Chaplin, the Three Stooges, and Frank Sinatra, and famed acts including the Human Cannonball, the World Famous Diving Horse, and the Miss American Pageant. But after years of neglect and a devastating fire, Steel Pier needed a makeover. In 1993, the Catanoso brothers gave it just that, renovating the landmark spot to maintain its nostalgic charm and thrills for years to come.

Today, much like throughout its past, gales of laughter compete with crashing ocean waves at Steel Pier's scenic location on the Atlantic City boardwalk. Traditional-style rides abound, such as the Swing Carousel, which sends parkgoers soaring through the air, while the Crazy Mouse a spinning roller coaster mixes the swirl usually reserved for Teacups with the ups, downs, and switchbacks of a roller coaster. Customers can also enjoy all of your favorite boardwalk treats from funnel cakes to cheese steaks.
