Since 1892, guests have been frequenting this traditional, no-frills bathhouse, where they indulge in sauna, steam, and massage treatments. Here's what you should know about the famed institution:

- You can get a traditional platza treatment: Bodies are rapped with an oak-leaf broom drenched in olive-oil soap
- The vibe is both trendy and old-fashioned: hipsters and retirees co-mingle here
- There is a quirky schedule: It's owned by two people, David and Boris, who split the bathhouse down the middle, running it on alternate weeks. Our deals are only valid on David weeks.

I love it here. My favorite spa in the Fort Lauderdale/Miami area, mostly because of the decor, steam room/sauna and the vast pool area. Just outside of Milwaukee lies a Thai oasis of sorts: Firewalker Arts. Here, Ananda Walker physically stretches out clients lying on a Thai massage mat during her Thai massages. Ananda, who is known to twirl and dance with fire in her free time as a fire entertainer, performs a few different variations of her classic massage:
- Thai foot massage: This combines Thai-specific acupressure, oil, and Thai balm. It relaxes the whole body, especially the feet.
- Thai abdominal massage: Ananda focuses on the abdominal muscles, massaging the area with oil to help aid digestion and cut down on gastrointestinal discomfort.
- Thai harmonic massage: If you need a mood boost, this massage is for you. It relies on a harmonic technique to "shake" or "sing" the body, which tends to make clients feel giddy.
