One of the last decade's most-popular night-out trends has been a "Paint 'n' Sip" class: you bring the drinks, an artistic teacher brings their expertise, and by the end of the night, you've created your own wine-inspired masterpiece. But with social distancing measures in place, you can't pull off that kind of outing the way you normally would.
But it's not impossible.
Enter virtual events from Yaymaker, where artists from around the world can lead online classes that us aspiring Van Goghs can follow along from the safety and comfort of our own homes. (And the best news: there's a Groupon!) Below, we tell you how it works, what you'll need to get started, and what events are coming up.
SEE THE YAYMAKER VIRTUAL EVENTS DEAL HERE.
How it Works
It's simple! Once you purchase the Groupon, you'll use a redemption code on the Yaymaker site to reedem your Groupon credit. Then you'll pick from hundreds of different events here. Events are conducted live, and have included everything from drawing a llama wearing sunglasses to glass/ceramic painting, soap/candle making, and much more.
Once you've chosen the class you want to attend. There are three steps:
- Get Your Supplies. More on that in the next section..
- Join the event via Zoom. Yaymaker will send you a Zoom link the night before. Click that link at the appropriate time and you should be good to go!
- Follow along! Along the way, you're even able to interact and ask questions to your teacher.
