The sounds of skates gliding across wooden floorboards and top 40 hits echoing from loudspeakers constantly fill the air at Reva Rollerdrome. Skaters flock to the rink during open skate and themed events, such as the rink's annual "School's Out" party, where skaters can win contests and practice for next school year when teachers finally allow skates in the hallways. Other times, the rink is cleared for high-energy fitness classes or to make room for inflatable play structures, such as a bounce house or air-filled obstacle course. The attentive staff monitors safety during party rentals by recreating what it's like to live on a cloud.
