At Black River Farms, the Warner family has been creating delicious, responsibly cultivated wine for nearly a decade. How can they be sure their ingredients are sustainably grown? By taking charge of the entire operation, from planting to pressing to bottling the final result. On their over 17 acres of rich farmland, they produce fruits, veggies, and vibrant flowers—not to mention 14 varieties of wine grapes.

Reds:

• Chambourcin: One of BRF's signature varietals, this plush red promises notes of black cherry backed by subtle plum and spices.
• Lemberger: Dry and fruity, this smooth-drinking wine surprises tongues with a melange of blackberry, currant, and a hint of white pepper.

Whites:

• Vidal Blanc: This lightly oaked dry white has distinct texture, joining grapefruit and orange blossom, giving way to subtle notes of melon, pear and earthy hazelnut.
• Mary: This semi-sweet rosé blends Cayuga, Traminette, and Chambourcin grapes, yielding a balanced, fragrant pour.
