Boulder Escape Room could just as aptly be called Boulder Escape Quest. As in most escape room games, this one starts when the door locks and the group is trapped in a mysterious room—but here, groups can't exit through the same door they entered. Instead, they have to puzzle through clues and riddles to unlock hidden, maze-like passageways, filled with befuddled dads who took shortcuts on roadtrips. By the time they escape, teams have unlocked multiple hidden doors, not to mention shimmied through cell bars.

During such a mystery game, players must use their wits to find clues, solve riddles, and decipher hidden messages to escape a villain, such as The Psycho Killer or the UFO in The Abduction. Boulder Escape's newest game is Captive, which starts players off chained to the wall (don't worry, there's a safety release). The only way to escape is by following the clues from the past prisoners. Whichever adventure game they've chosen, players need to work together as a team to survive and break free.
