United Boxing Gym, Dallas

When two-time Golden Gloves champion Alfred Cavazos opened United Boxing Gym in 2009, his goal was to help young boxers—both inside and outside the ring. Better known as Coach Fred, he offers boxing classes for boys and girls of all ages. These classes not only increase kids' balance, coordination, and flexibility, but also teach them important life lessons. As a result, students leave United Boxing with higher self-esteem and a better sense of discipline.
