What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
The Kuno Silat Academy has been around for decades teaching one of the most sophisticated and sought after systems of traditional Pentjack Silat from Java, Indonesia. The root of the art comes from an older style called Serak. Our Academy is a wonderful place to train, get fit and make new friends.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Get ready to learn something new and have lots of fun. Wear comfortable clothes, bring water, and a towel, and a notebook. You will get a good work out and at the same time learn many new self defense skills.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
This art is like nothing you have seen before. We want to share this special martial art with you! Kuno Silat teaches nearly effortless throws and sweeps, powerful blocks and strikes, locks and more. Our Silat is so adept at take downs, that the art focuses on defense against multiple attackers.

What do you love most about your job?
We love seeing the astonishment of new students when they see what they can accomplish through learning this art. Even students with a vast martial arts background in other systems including MMA, will see the effectiveness of Kuno Silat. Men and women and children can benefit from learning Silat.
