Skydive Lake Tahoe promises sweeping views of Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada Mountains during their professionally guided free-falls at roughly 120 miles per hour. Instructors—certified by the United States Parachute Association—lead the training and the tandem jumps, controlling all the details so guests can simply revel in the unmitigated thrill of plummeting to earth. The dives, which begin at about 12,500 feet, feature a 60-second free-fall and then a serene 5-minute canopy ride toward the ground.
