About Speed Factory Indoor Karting

With one of the largest indoor tracks and some of the fastest European go-karts in South Carolina, Speed Factory Indoor Karting strives to entertain with a unique motorsports-themed experience.

The Tracks

  • Road Course Track: an extra-wide, 11-turn road course covering 40,000 square feet; about 17–24 laps per race

  • Bull Ring Oval Track: circular course with 80-foot straightaways and 40-foot-wide corners for easy passing; about 50 laps per race

The Karts

  • Safety features: a four-point seat belt and padded headrest along with all-around safety bumper

  • Tires: a slick design specifically for high-speed kart racing

  • Specifications: a gas-powered engine with hydraulic brakes and steel sportive steering wheel; adjustable seat

My wife and I had a lot of fun together. It was the experience together that made it fun. However, minus two stars for the lack of energy from the employees. The main guy that does the video is humorously lethargic with monotone speech. They decided to increase the price of beer from 2 to 3 dollars, which is unfortunate. I would've bought the maximum amount allowed before the race if it wasn't for that price increase. At least, don't mention it on the menu that the price went up; it discouraged my purchase. Looking back, I wish I drank before my race to numb me from the beating the go-kart gave me; they are NOT easy on the body. After it was all done, we went to Dave and Buster's. The employees at Dave and Busters were looking around their gaming systems for a gas leak because we were SATURATED in the smell of gasoline from the go-karts. I don't recommend going here before a formal dinner (or anywhere else), but straight to the shower. Also wasn't a big fan that they charged me 1 dollar since the Groupon only covers one yearly membership and I had to pay for the other–another discouragement towards buying any refreshments there.
