Whitaker Center, Harrisburg

Our grandchildren ages 2 and 3 yrs old enjoyed the young children’s area. Glad it was contained with a fence. A lot of different experiences. A stage with dress up clothing and puppets, a large wooden ambulance with medical toys, a building 6 feet high with foam blocks, multiple bins of construction toys, a store area with lots of pretend fruits, vegetables, and shopping baskets, and child sized foam pillows to arrange and walk or jump on. The only drawback was that the building is under renovation. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This place is awesome lots of great hands on activities to do

The main reason we went was the giant earth ball and once we arrived found out that was closed. Not worth the money at all. Almost $30 for both of our tickets and $15 for parking. Two weeks later we went to the Lancaster Science Factory and it was like night and day. $18 for both of us to get in and free parking. It was awesome. Won’t be going back to the Whitaker Science Center.
