A Powered paraglider is a form of ultralight aviation where the pilot wears a motor on his back (a paramotor) which provides enough thrust to take off using a paraglider. It can be launched from the ground and carry one passenger. After a brief drive forward, the paraglider canopy is filled with air and lifted off the ground by the resulting wind. With continued forward motion, the motor, pilot, and passenger are lifted off the ground and the transition to flight begins. We use the safest possible paragliding method, a paratrike, which is a motorized paraglider with wheels. The reason it’s the safest is because you don’t have to do any running during take off and landing. Just sit back, relax, and let our experienced pilot take you on a breathtaking discovery flight. Is this the same as parasailing? No! It is much different than parasailing. With parasailing, you have no directional control and you can only go about 100 feet high. In paragliding, you can go much higher (thousands of feet) and you also have directional control (left and right). Many people liken paragliding like a cross between skydiving and a hot air balloon, but appreciate it for reasons all its own.
