Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, but it would take a lifetime to visit them all. Since 1930, Elbow Lake Lodge has simplified the Minnesota experience, giving guests unlimited access to one idyllic body of water: the 1,700-acre Elbow Lake. The lodge's suites and cabins on the water's edge make it easy to experience the waves, whether that means swimming and kayaking, roasting marshmallows in a lakefront campfire, or snowmobiling over the snow-blanketed shores in winter. Elbow Lake Lodge provides guests with many amenities, including free kayak and canoe usage, 18-hole mini-golf, and a full service marina offering gas, bait, and a fish cleaning house. Each cabin has a firepit and gas grill; charcoal grills available upon request. Other amenities at the resort are an 800-foot sand beach, hiking trails, bouncy water trampoline, playground area on the beach, ice cream shoppe/coffee bar, full service bar and restaurant, sauna, piano, foosball and ping-pong in the lodge, as well as a kids area in lodge complete with TV, CD player, books, toys and games. Points of interest in the area include Vince Shute's bear sanctuary, Underground Sudan Mines, Vine View in the Sky, Hockey Hall of Fame, Iron World, The Wilderness Golf Course, and more.
