Since 1995, Hot Yoga 8 has been teaching a variety of yoga styles to Honolulu. The studio offers classes in Power Vinyasa, Astanga, Yoga Sculpt, Restorative Yoga, and Yin, but the certified instructors at Hot Yoga 8 specialize in Bikram yoga, a style that uses 26 poses to work every major muscle group in the body. Each 90-minute class is taught in 105-degree heat, believed to help practitioners ease chronic pain, sweat out toxins, and stretch further than they would otherwise. Though most sessions are actively led by a teacher, some are conducted in meditative silence, and others are held by candlelight.
