Abbott's Also Candy Shop, Indianapolis

Though it may seem a relic of the past, you don’t have to travel back in time to enjoy a hand-poured, hand-cut, and hand-wrapped caramel. Abbott’s Also Candy Shop serves them up—in charming, yellow-plaid boxes, to boot—alongside a full slate of chocolates, truffles, and fudge. Though this family-owned operation opened in 1993, it pays homage to old-style candy making in more ways than one. The owners purchased a more-than-100-year-old factory in Hagerstown, Indiana. Here, guests can watch as staffers handcraft sweets such as caramels.
