Suffolk Swim School, Islip

Mike Ferris, the founder of Suffolk Swim School, is a former nationally ranked swimmer with over 20 years of experience in teaching swimming to all ages and levels. Numerous nationally ranked swimmers and Olympic trial qualifiers trained under Mike's wing, as well as the members of Long Island Aquatic Club and students of Long Island Swim School. He is currently a coach of the elite and national groups with Islanders Aquatics. He shares his knowledge and experience with fellow trainers at Suffolk Swim School who come from a strong competitive swimming and lifeguarding background. They undergo a constant training in order to maintain and grow their knowledge of swimming and teaching. The courses at Suffolk Swim School include, among others, core control, breath techniques, and all 4 competitive strokes.
