Right at your doorstep is a 34 acre fishpond, built by a Hawaiian king centuries ago. World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Kihei boasts the best beaches on Maui. Our fresh water pool is one of the largest condominium resort pools on the island. Other resort amenities include tennis courts, putting green, croquet field, shuffleboard, exercise room and a large hot spa bath. Our convenient location is a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18 hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. Cost conscious golfers can enjoy four nearby golf courses in Kihei, Waiehu, and Pukalani which offer spectacular scenery and ocean vistas. Maui Sunset is conveniently located near central community services with many entertainment and dining facilities. Excellent restaurants featuring continental and native cuisine are nearby. Banks, beauticians, barbers...ice cream and video rentals are located in pleasant shopping malls only two blocks from the Maui Sunset. They also include drug stores and supermarkets where you can buy provisions for evenings "In". Maui Sunset offers two large central barbecue areas for your enjoyment and lawn parties. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. We have 30 rooms available on a nightly basis for guests. The 60 foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan. Two regulation sized tennis courts lie directly between the buildings and the ocean, plus four more tennis courts are within easy walking distance. All units have ocean and mountain views; some views are south westerly across Maalaea Bay to the neighboring island of Lanai and a portion of the West Maui Mountains. Whales may be seen frolicking in the azure water off the beach from November through April. The condominiums take full advantage of these views, and are designed for outdoor living. The units also feature large living rooms and entertainment areas...and are fully equipped with a cable TV and DVD, continuous clean range-oven, frost free refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal and washer dryer combination. All living and sleeping areas are air conditioned, but ceiling fans and fresh breezes naturally cool the units. The kitchen and linens are fully stocked. Additional maid service can be arranged if desired. The one bedroom units have two baths and comfortably sleeps 4-5, while the two bedroom units sleep 6-7.
