Montana Creek Campground, Talkeetna

Nestled in scenic Susitna Valley, Montana Creek Campground invites campers and day-trippers alike to take part in a variety of outdoor pastimes. First, overnighters set up their dog-friendly campsite—they have their pick of 67—with firewood and food from the onsite shop. Then, groups hike along Luthman Trail, which graduates from gently rolling earth to steeper terrain, and cast fishing lines into shimmering Montana Creek in hopes of hooking trout, silver salmon, and king salmon. Riverboat trips and airplane tours offer an alternate perspective on nature.
