What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Abby's Attic is the only studio of its kind in San Antonio! We combine old-school skills (sewing, crafting, and hand embroidery) with new technology: follow the teacher on a big screen TV in real time as she creates along with you in the studio. Your finished project will be beautiful and easy.

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring? We provide all the materials you will need to create a beautiful project–no experience necessary. Just bring your desire to create. Leave with your finished product in hand.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? The owner and instructor, Jennifer Nicolella, loves to sew. Her mother taught her to sew and embroider when she was young, and has loved it since. Paired with her love of teaching, this is the perfect place to share her desire to create while teaching self-confidence and pride in a job well done.

What do you love most about your job? I love that I can share a skill that is not only practical and necessary, but one that requires patience, problem-solving, and diligence. The end product of creating something with your hands is always something to be proud of. Hand crafting is a dying art and my goal is to bring it back.
