Santa Cruz Children's Museum of Discovery, Capitola

Great for my 3 kids, boys age 8 and 5 and 16 month baby girl. Clean and staff are friendly and helpful.

Love this place great for kids

The staff were very nice and helpful. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and although there were a few other visitors to the museum, it was not crowded at all. There was plenty of room to move about and interact with the exhibits for as long as you like, without the wall to wall crowds that there are at some children's museums. It's not an enormous place, but there is a lot to do and our children were happily engaged in the activities for at least two hours. I like that it is the kind of place where you could just stop in and play if you had a couple of hours to spare. It was not an exhausting excursion for the family as larger museums can be, where you feel like you need to spend most of the day to experience everything. I would definitely purchase a membership if we lived closer. This is a great place to spend a little quality time with your child. I would say that the activities would mostly be engaging for the under ten age group.
