Inside the 1,200-square-foot classroom, the shop's instructors lead quilting classes, ranging from beginners-quilting classes to those for more advanced students that focus on equipping students with the necessary skills to create fun quilts and home decoration items. Among Friends' online shop outfits shoppers with the materials they need to sew their own items, including fabric, kits, and patterns, and their physical shop stores more than 6,000 bolts of cotton fabrics and 1,000 book and pattern titles. Also inside the shop— named one of the top 10 quilting shops in the country in the Fall and Winter 2008 issue of Better Homes and Gardens' _Quilt Sampler magazine_— is a "Husband Parking Area" with seats and cable TV, a kiddie corner with toys, and a cafe that serves steaming cups of fresh coffee on the house.
