Dolphin Jet Ski Rentals, Merritt Island

The only complaint I have is them charging me $80.00 for gas when it wasn't discussed or mentioned in contract prior to renting

I've never had problems with groupons, so this is a first. I would not recommend this Dolphin ski rental place. Very deceiving and owner, Eric, even gave me some advice, he said "don't buy groupons". That's SAD!! The Groupon never disclosed it was going to cost $25 more to have a second rider on a two person ski. It said the gas was going to be about $5/gallon, but they never even filled it up when we returned, he just charged us a fixed amount for each jet ski. I didn't know it was going to be about $30/per hour per jet ski. Not sure of the amount, since he never emailed my receipt after i asked him to. They don't have watches or timers aboard either and was rude when we asked.

I assumed having a groupon means no further costs besides tax. But I payed for the kids as additional passenger 25$ (why? I rent a jetSki, does it mattaer how many people are coming with me), for gas 20$ (4 gallon for 1 hour?), a surcharge (what the does it mean?). After the Dolphin Tour we got the information when would be the best time to swim with the Dophins, because we did see only 2, the water was to cold and there has not been any chance to swim with a dolphin. So why is it possible to book this tour?

This company charged fees that weren't disclosed in original Groupon posting. They also ended up charging more for the one fee (for gas) that was mentioned.
