FreeBird owner and master instructor Danielle Whitener been dancing since age 3, and has spent her adult life racking up certifications in a slew of fitness disciplines. You might suspect she's the kind of person who has trouble sitting still—which could pose a problem at a traditional yoga studio. Fortunately, FreeBird isn't that kind of place. There are indeed Vinyasa Flow sessions for students focused on their yoga practice, whether new or advanced. But the studio specializes in hybrid forms that achieve a full-body workout through an invigorating collage of moves borrowed from plyometrics, interval training, and even tribal dance.
