Ceramic painting classes, Astoria

Owner Pauline stands by the idea that individuals need art in their lives. So she opened up Ceramic Painting Classes as a healthy outlet for both children and adults. Not only does the studio let budding artists use their creativity, but it does so through the use of everyday objects. Guests paint ceramic items ranging from coffee mugs to flower pots.

• The classes: Adults, teens, and children get in touch with their artistic sides during classes that teach them how to paint ceramics.
• The canvases: Instead of making a traditional canvas painting, participants creates unique paintings on readily available ceramic bisque pieces that they can choose from.
