Open Ocean Surfing Lesson, Half Moon Bay

When Dave Alexander isn't busy teaching surfing lessons, he's still probably either teaching or surfing. Not only is Dave passionate about the sport (he's been surfing since age 12), but he's a longtime educator—his classroom experience ranges from teaching preschoolers to high-schoolers, and he's also been a coach and phys-ed teacher. Dave combines his areas of expertise at Open Ocean, where he leads individual and group classes for surfers of all skill levels. In addition to teaching hands-on surfing basics, the classes include water safety instruction.
