Rito's Mexican FoodGreat things truly can come in plain packages, as evidenced by the nondescript stone, brick and stucco cottage of Rito’s Mexican Food, whose menu is posted on the inside wall. Seating consists of plastic picnic tables set right off the side of the building, though a who’s who of clientele still lines up for the fantastic, straightforward Mexican fare. A red chile burrito done up enchilada style is properly soupy and gooey, with cheese soaking into the shredded lettuce, rice and beans on the side. Crispy tacos fall apart at the seams thanks to a lovely little touch of grease, and each dish comes in aluminum pie tins or paper wrappers, nothing more. It’s cash only at Rito’s, but they’ve been serving their delicious family recipes for more than 35 years.
