Escape at the Shore, Northfield

Working with experienced game masters from around the world, the staff at Escape at the Shore designed three immersive escape rooms that challenge people to live up to what sometimes seems like an impossible task: working together. Groups of up to six participants must cooperate to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and communicate in order to conquer the rooms' intricate secrets and escape within the 60-minute time limit. Read on for a description of each of Escape at the Shore's thrilling scenarios:

• Weird Science: Escape the Oddities: Apollo Trimitheus, a brilliant Alchemist, has created an elixir that grants everlasting life to anyone who drinks it. The only problem is, creating the elixir has driven Apollo mad, and nobody knows where the elixir is. From the confines of his padded cell, Apollo keeps repeating the same words over and over again: "Pick it up, search for it and unwind it, it doesn’t matter you’ll still never find it!" Your group must enter his twisted laboratory and find the elixir before the room drives you mad.

• Pirate's Plunder: Piles of booty will corrupt any man, and the notorious Captain Kidd was no different: while given permission by the Royal Navy to plunder enemies of the Crown, Captain Kidd turned face and looted the Brits instead. He hid his treasure before his execution, and now you and your group have an hour to find it—but will you be corrupted, too?

• The Hostel: You and your Friends decided to backpack your way through Europe. Barry, the most trusting person in the group, decides he is going to hang out with some of the local teenagers. Barry never returned to the Hostel from his adventure last night. You and your friends decide to search for Barry. You find out from an anonymous source that Barry has been kidnapped by a Black Market Mafia Ring that traffics humans for High Level Corporate CEO’s.These CEO’s pay a lot of money to torture human beings to death.
