The Urban Oven, Redondo Beach

Most things taste pretty great after a stint in a wood-fired oven. This was the founding concept of The Urban Oven's food truck, which was constantly met with the question "When are you opening a restaurant?" The team met this challenge and opened their downtown LA spot serving the same crispy, golden brown artisanal pizzas. Besides the pies, a seasonal, chef-crafted menu and other Italian-inspired eats make their way into the oven to get suffused in the woody heat before getting plated and delivered to hungry diners' tables.
