Need 2 Speed's indoor kart-racing track combines maximum thrills with maximum safety. Drivers zoom around in custom-designed Italian karts with electric motors that rate at roughly 20 horsepower. Although the karts are heart-poundingly fast for such lightweight vehicles—reaching speeds up to 45 mph—each one features a radio-controlled emergency device so that track personnel can quickly intervene if any driver is unable to operate the kart safely.
