It had been 8 to 10 years since I had been to the Expolitorium. I believe the number of hands on exhibits have at least tripled. This time we were there about 4 hours two days before Thanks giving. The place was full of people but not over full. The average wait was no more than 5 minutes to do a hands on. It was a pleasant experience for me as a grandparent with my adult daughter and 4 of my average age 9 year old grandchildren, oldest 12, youngest 7. The facility was kept very clean and I didn’t notice any broken or out of order exhibits. There were plenty of staff stationed at exhibits and others available to help and answer questions. I was surprised at the happy and peaceful atmosphere among all visitors, especially children. I would guess that it would take to two to 3 full days to do justice to what is offered. Because of the last two facts related above, I would love to bring the same group of grandchildren at least 2 more times. Unfortunately the prices at $30 per child and $40 per adult, $49 for 5 hours of 6 Block away parking, and the on site eating for a simple menu seemed expensive $5 to $7 beverages) all make it unlikely that I will ever return. I think the full experience would be considered too major for most families with school age children. Since the exhibits could amplify basic science learning for all science leaning and learning motivated students I should expect that 3 days of visits could be packaged for joint school and parent funding with reasonable discounts. Substantial parking discounts for parents capped at $20 would attract .

you can't finish in one day so it's better to buy membership if you are going to go there again.
