Summary: It was not a good experience. If you don't respect your customers, you will lose business. I would not trust this vendor again and I am also skeptical about using Groupon in the future. Details: I called the number provided on Groupon and scheduled an appointment. Showed up on time at the merchant's office. When I knocked on the office door (that was open), he told me to wait there (when in fact there was no other customer in the office and there were two empty chairs). As I stood there waiting, he went on talking on the phone for 5 more minutes. Then he hung up, came out. There was another customer sitting on the couch waiting for his car. So he spoke with that customer and told me to keep waiting while he went into the shop. This continued for about 15 minutes. Then he called me in. He did not acknowledge my appointment. Also, the moment he found out I had a Groupon, his demeanor became even more negative. He asked if I paid the actual price or the Groupon price. Then said I would need to pay the full price. I explained to him how Groupon works, but he refused to believe me. He took another 15 minutes to consult with his boss over the phone and finally agreed to accept my Groupon. He then told he can't do front doors in the Groupon because each rear door had 2 window sections (like most cars do) and the groupon said 5 consecutive windows. So the tiny piece of glass on your rear door is a separate window. Then he further told me that he has only 2 tint options for me because of the Groupon price. Any other options would cost extra. Also, these options had only 1 year of warranty instead of lifetime warranty as advertised. Then he told me that the small sections on the rear door had pieces of previous tint which needed to be removed and for which he will charge me same another 70 dollars. When I asked him to do the remaining 3 windows instead of 5 (for which I would need to pay extra), he refused, citing policy. When I offered him to clean those myself and then he could just install the new film, he refused, citing warranty issues. All in all, I paid double the advertised price. Also, I noticed that the vendor refused to honor Groupon. Vendor was trying to get as much money out of me as possible. Finally, if I am getting a lower grade tint based on the price savings I got at Groupon; it seems pointless to use Groupon.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We want to clarify a few important points so future customers understand what actually happened. 1. Groupon has specific limitations that are clearly listed on the deal. The $99 Groupon covers standard film only and back five consecutive windows. This does not include: Front windows Specialty vehicles Old tint removal Ceramic film upgrades Lifetime warranty film These are optional upgrades — and completely normal with every tint shop on Groupon. 2. Multiple windows on a single door count as separate windows. This is standard in the window-tint industry and is explained in the Groupon terms. Calling a small quarter-glass “free” is unfortunately not how Groupon packages work at any tint shop nationwide. 3. Old tint removal is never included with Groupon. If any car arrives with bubbles, purple tint, or old adhesive, removal is an additional service. It takes time and labor, and Groupon does not reimburse merchants for this. 4. We did honor the Groupon — exactly as written. You received the service for the Groupon price. Any additional fees were for things outside the scope of the Groupon package. 5. Upgrades are optional, not required. Ceramic film, lifetime warranty film, or front windows are upgrades. Groupon gives a discount on standard tint only. 6. We do not rush customers in or out of the shop. At a tint shop, technicians often step in and out while cars are being worked on. That’s normal and part of running a shop with multiple vehicles in progress. We take customer service seriously and we stand behind our work and our policies. Groupon is meant to give discounted access to basic services. It does not include premium films, tint removal, or custom jobs. This business is a total scam. They will steal your money by sneakily redeeming your unused voucher and refuse to refund. Stay away from them.

Hi there, We take accusations like this very seriously, so we want to be clear about how Groupon actually works. 1. We cannot “redeem” a Groupon without the customer approving it. Groupon’s system requires: The customer’s barcode The customer’s confirmation Or the customer using the Groupon link on their phone There is no way for any merchant to “sneakily redeem” anything. Groupon does not allow it. 2. Groupon handles all refunds — not the merchant. If a customer doesn’t use their voucher, Groupon refunds directly through their platform. We do not receive payment until a customer arrives and the voucher is redeemed. If there was truly an issue, Groupon would have refunded you instantly. 3. No one here has refused a refund. We simply cannot issue one because Groupon controls the payment. This is standard for every business on Groupon. 4. Calling a business a scam is unfair and inaccurate. We’ve tinted thousands of vehicles and we’re one of the highest-volume tint companies in California. We honor every legitimate Groupon exactly according to the written terms. If you still feel something went wrong, we encourage you to contact us directly or reach out to Groupon customer support so they can review the voucher status on their end.
