LaunchPad Children's Museum, Sioux City

Over 15 years ago, a group of local moms wanted something better for the children of Sioux City. Realizing there was a lack of facilities where kids could learn about science and math in a fun way, they asked local leaders to build a museum dedicated to STEM learning. After several years of planning and development, LaunchPad Children's Museum was born and today provides an educational play and discovery space that the parents of the community can be proud of.

• Size: seven local-themed exhibits loaded with interactive activities that encourage exploration and creativity
• Eye-Catcher: me and you discovery area where kids can explore their own personal characteristics such as height and weight
• Permanent Exhibits: interactive areas include wind, water table, market and cafe, and an infant-toddler section
• Educational Programs: special weekly activities held at the museum include family fun nights and smart art creation
• Don't Miss: block wall and build zone featuring simple machines and tons of blocks that encourage kids to work together to create something fun
