Loudoun Ice Centre, Sterling

Loudoun Ice Centre's rink is 1/3 the size of a regulation hockey rink to create a close setting for specialized hockey training programs, public skating, and private parties. The center's hockey instructors are led by general manager Darren Hersh, who's been training goalies and players for more than 25 years at the amateur, collegiate, and professional levels.

• Hockey Training: A Progressive Hockey Development (PHD) staff molds players of all ages into masters of the slap shot with camps, clinics, and one-on-one training programs utilizing pro-style drills and video reviews of performance.
• 3V3 Hockey: Loudoun Ice Centre hosts three-on-three adult leagues and the annual Wally Cup, where kids gather their own teams, pick their own team names, and compete in a tournament without the help of coaches.
• Public Skating: The rinks opens to the public for open skate sessions on Friday and Saturday nights.
