Hippity Hop Marathon, Peoria

As the Easter Bunny prepares to make his rounds on Easter weekend, a different set of tortoises and hares will be gathering at Rio Vista Park in Peoria. They'll be there for the Hippity Hop Marathon, a USTAF-certified Boston Marathon qualifier, where runners wind through the New River Trail System's asphalt and concrete running paths. There's also a half-marathon and four-mile race planned, giving runners of all distance and ability levels the chance to zip through the fresh spring air.
